my steeley wheeley turns three!

i haven't been in the mood for editing pictures lately.
kind of just liking raw natural pictures right now.
not sure if it's laziness or that i purely like the freshness of it.
that said, here is steele's third birthday celebration...
all.day.long...
first was a little friend get-together.
we had all the neighborhood and a few friends celebrate with us.
sorry i didn't get pictures of everyone who was there.
we loved seeing everyone and having steele get to be with all his friends.

 we played some fun easter games.

steele decided months ago that he wanted a 'captain america' birthday party.

i tried to find captain america stuff but couldn't.

we went to zurkers and still couldn't find anything. 

then we walked past the 4th of July section and steele went nuts!

he just kept picking up everything with a flag and saying 

"look it's a captain america flag!! oh mom look! it's captain american cups!!"

he was so excited to get a few things for his party.

steele just kept saying he wanted chicken so i went with a pasta bar...with chicken:).

{this sums up gift opening. complete chaos!}

we practiced what to say when someone gives you a gift for days.

we would wrap one of his toys up in his blanket and he or i would

"open" the gift and pretend to be so surprised.

i always emphasized how important it is to say thank you. 

so funny how much you have to do to get a kid to understand manners ha!

what a day!
it was just perfect for steele.
he got to play outside most of the day
and be 'captain america' at his party.

my heart just can't take that he is three.
he is already changing and becoming a TOTAL hand full.
but that is an entirely different post.
for now i will just say that i love my steeley wheeley more than anything!
he is my best little friend and has such a sweet heart.
my favorite thing he says lately is
"mom, guess what?.................(whispered with a smirk and shoulders shrugged) i love you."
usually followed with a kiss.
melts my heart.

the joyful sunny days

i don't have a lot of time to blog these days.

i'm working on time management and keeping my house orderly.

it's all about habits and i am working to a line my 

time and motivation to make new habits. 

blogging has become the last of my priorities,

which i think is a good thing.

none of these pictures are cropped or touched up.

wish they were but this will have to do for now.

perry has the most majestic baby blues.

that's almost always the first thing people notice about her.

 when it was time to put the little guy back, 

steele kept saying "but i love him!"

he was pretty sweet with him. 

he's got a soft heart like his momma.

perry acted as if she wanted to eat him...

we've spent lots of time with ashton and linny the past few weeks.

steele loves them and they love him too!

{perry officially crawls}

.....EVERYWHERE! and pulls herself up on EVERYTHING!

mischievous little thing these days!

i love her to pieces. 

she is just about the cutest thing ever!

 perry's personality is so sweet.

her smile melts our hearts!

she loves her mommy and especially loves her daddy!

sleeps good, eats good and loves life.

whoa! slow down pear.
she is SO close to crawling now. 
she is becoming a busy little body.
technically she is crawling but i need
a full moving-hands-and-knees to claim crawling.
army crawling and rolling around are her specialties.
she'll get up on all fours and move her hands forward
but then usually flops on her tummy instead of move her legs too.

perry is becoming kind of shy and timid around people she doesn't see often.
i think a lot of it has to do with this time of year and us not getting out much.
we hang out at home quite often these days which i love and hate.
i'm not a home body much at all so the cold months are tough,
but i've been getting very good at staying on top of cleaning
& home organization projects which i love!! mixed feelings.

play group, jump on it and the occasional errands are
part of our weeks but i need a project or something.
i really want to start reworking my living room.
wish me luck as i start to venture into wall-art,
pillows, accessorizing and finding the money
to pay for it all, haha. where there's a will
