two....yes two

i caught steele just in time before he took a huge bite out of mr elephant

we had all sorts of yummy food.
hot dogs are one food steele just loves
{we'll say because of the mickey mouse hot dog song}.
you can tell he enjoyed his hot dog by the ketchup on his face.

with his aunt fergie

loves from cousin linny

loves from cousin mccoy

the "triplets" playing hide & seek in one of steele's birthday bags

thanks to everyone who made steele's birthday such a special day.
a special thanks to my mom who helped with all the food and let us party at her place.

ps potty training day 1 was today and it has been a rough go.
more to come on our success....

Congrats that he's two!!! Isn't it crazy how the time just flies? And now they are big kids running around and not babies... Bitter sweet really. :) I am glad you guys are doing well. Hang in there with the potty training, day one was the worst for us but Jack caught on SO fast.

oh steele, his is just too cute. i love the pic of him and mccoy hugging. they are too cute. i could eat mccoy. you look so cute in the pic below and your hair is so beautiful and healthy.i love that we are both having girls and i'm excited to see what you name yours. i love feeling her jabs and kicks as well however they've been getting a little painful! or ... a lot painful!?

so i DO totally read "flourish design and style". it's been in my reader forever. she definitely loves all white themes more than me (though i do love them). but i do like her style. what are some of your other favorites? i love little green notebook. young house love. centsational girl. those are just off the top of my head. anyway hope you're having a great week!

Real fast...I just read your post about basically teaching your daughter that image isn't everything, and I totally agree! Now I, and who all knows me knows that I enjoy dressing up or putting on something cute, and I LOVE dressing my kids cute to! Which I am sure you feel the same about all that! But we are talking strictly our daughters. Something that I have taught myself, it's ok that you want to look cute/nice and want to look cute and fashionable! But to not let yourself get caught up into it to where it has control over you and your thoughts and your life! I call it, to not let it become "your idol/god." Like you said the world does teach that image is of great importance, but I think as long as you still know what is REALLY important in life and why we are here that your good to go. Cause it can be very easy to let yourself get caught up into the whole image thing to where it almost consumes you. So I think just make sure we teach our kids the same. Sorry so long, hope that helped:)

Taylor keeps asking when we are going to Steels party... so sad. When our whole household is not sick we need to get together.
PS congrats on the potty training!

So cute! I can't believe he is two but I guess it's also hard to believe Emmett is 1 1/2. I'm proud of him (and you) for being potty trained already. I REALLY hope to have that success. I may have to wait until the baby comes which is a bummer. Cute cake!!
